Terms, Safety & Disclaimer

Withya is a peer-to-peer companion matchmaking platform. We connect adults who want company for everyday activities. We are not a dating service, escort service, caregiving agency, ride-sharing service, or employer of the companions listed on the platform.

• No professional services. Companions are not licensed caregivers, medical professionals, security guards, drivers, or counselors. Do not request medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice through Withya.
• You meet at your own risk. Withya does not perform background checks during this beta. Verified badges indicate identity verification only. Always meet in public places, share your plans with someone you trust, and trust your instincts.
• Payments. All payments are between users. Withya may take a service fee. Withya is not a party to any transaction and provides no guarantee of service quality.
• No liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Withya, its founders, and affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including (but not limited to) personal injury, property damage, loss of funds, or emotional distress.
• Reporting. If you feel unsafe, contact local emergency services (911 in the U.S.) first, then report to safety@withya.app.
• Age requirement. Users must be 18 years or older.

By using Withya you agree to these terms. This disclaimer is a placeholder summary intended for the MVP; a full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy will be required before public launch and should be reviewed by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

• Meet in public places. Share your live location with a trusted friend.
• Use the in-app Safety Check-In timer for any solo activity (e.g., walks to your car).
• Verify your match's profile and recent reviews before meeting.
• Withya is not a dating app. Romantic or sexual solicitation is grounds for permanent removal.
• Report any suspicious behavior immediately to safety@withya.app.

Be kind. Show up on time. Cancel responsibly if plans change. Treat every companion the way you'd want a stranger to treat your grandparent, your kid, or your best friend.

Withya does not currently carry insurance covering interactions between users. We are actively evaluating marketplace liability coverage prior to public launch. Companions and requesters are responsible for their own personal, automobile, and property insurance as applicable.
